Table of Contents

Ingredients:

For the Banana Bread:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

Prepare the Banana Bread Batter: In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

Add melted butter and stir until well combined. Add vanilla extract, baking soda, and a pinch of salt, and mix well.

Incorporate Sugars and Eggs: Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the banana mixture.

Mix until smooth.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add Flour: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.

Be careful not to overmix; you want a moist and tender texture.

Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the swirl.

Layer the Batter and Cinnamon Swirl: Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter.

Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon sugar layer. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cinnamon sugar through the batter.

Finish with Cinnamon Swirl: Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the batter, creating a final cinnamon swirl.

Bake: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

The top should be golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

This Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is a delightful treat with the perfect combination of sweet bananas and warm cinnamon flavors.
