Perfect Rice Krispie Treats Recipe
To get the right amount of marshmallows to cereal, use a whole bag of marshmallows when making these Rice Krispie Treats. These bars are sticky and taste so good!
SERVINGS: 24 BARS
– 4 tablespoons (60 grams) unsalted butter sliced into tablespoon-sized piece
– 1 (16-ounce) package mini marshmallows divided
– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
– 6 cups (180 grams) crispy rice cereal
Cover a 9x13 baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving a little extra to make it easy to take off. Spray nonstick cooking spray on the foil or grease it with
butter, then set it aside.
Put a big pot over medium-low heat. Add the sliced butter and let it melt all the way through. To save time, take out two cups (110 grams) of mini marshmallows from the pack
age while the butter melts.
After melting the butter, add the mini marshmallows (minus the two cups set aside). Keep stirring until marshmallows are smooth and melted. Stir in vanilla after removing from heat.
Mix half the cereal until well combined, then add the rest and mix until fully combined. Just mix in the reserved two cups of marshmallows.
Scoop the mixture into the baking pan and press it into an even layer. Remove from pan, slice into bars, and enjoy after 45 minutes of cooling!
